Well that is partially true. Close to the hatch that particular nymph will probably fall into that size range. But do you really think all salmon fly nymphs start out life as sizes 4-6? Don't you think at some point in life they were a bit smaller. Maybe, "Gasp", at one point they were only a size 12 or 14.

I love books. They've been a great help to me, but sometimes a little common sense does not hurt.
