Flow: ~250 CFS
Temp: 50's
Weather: Partly Cloudy
Clarity: 2-3 feet
Best flies for me: Sparkle RS2 Olive - sz 22 and a BH F/B Hares Ear - sz 18

It was another nice day on the Colorado. Not quite as good as the 23rd of April, but still. A BWO hatch was coming off when I arrived, but no fish were rising on the section I was at. A bit downstream in calmer water the fish were rising on a steady basis. For the fish were rising here and there all day on the river, but I caught most of my fish on a sz 18 BH F/B Hares Ear and Sparkle RS2 Olive

From what I can see the fish appear to definately be done spawing on the Colorado. The water will probably start getting muddy over the next few weeks as the run off gets going.

If the flows stay below 400 cfs look for another outstanding Salmon Fly hatch on the Colorado.
