It was a pretty cold, cloudy and snowy day for April on the Colorado. Flows on both rivers were down significantly. The Williams was only 15-20 and the Colorado was at about 300. A very strong BWO hatch came off and the fish were rising off and on all afternoon, starting at about 12:30. BWO's were also real strong on the Williams Fork.

BWO and Midge patterns were hot today. Size 20-22 for the BWO's seemed best.

The water has also cleared up. When ever it gets a bit cold at this time of year the run off slows and the water clears. While not crystal clear, it was much better than about a week earlier.

I'll probably be back on the river on Sat. as I've yet to fish one of my favorite sections.
