I got a late start on the day, so I did not get on the water until 1:30 pm. I fished until about 5:00 pm. It was a beautiful day, sunny, with very little wind.

Air temp: About 50 degrees.
Sky: Sunny
Flow: 95 cfs.
Water temp: Damn Cold
Clarity: gin clear.

The forecast called for a possibilty of rain/snow showers. It never really even threatened.

Successful flies for the day: Y Special (Brown)/ Brown UFO's with Black Head
Unsuccessful flies for the day: Red Thread Midge, BWO Emerger (Barr wet style), a Poxyback BWO nymph, and Egg ala Muck.

The Hatch fly shop suggested Black Beauties and San Juan worms. I tried neither. I meant to, but just never did. Saw very, very few risers.
