It seems where ever I want to fish the the flows go up. The Colorado was flowing at about 450-500 CFS. Of course two days earlier it was only at 300 CFS. Oh well so it goes. The Colorado was a bit muddy, but what can you expect for this time of year. The BWO hatch came off, but we saw only a few fish rising, but we may have just been on the wrong part of the river. We gradually worked our way up towards the Parshall hole. In that area (actually about 100 yards below) the fish started boiling for a midge hatch that was going very strong in the late afternoon. I was quite suprised as the visibility in the water was less than 2 feet.

Flies for the day: F/B WD40 Olive, Sparkle RS2 Olive, various black midge patterns, Caddis Pupa cream body.

I checked the flows today, and they have dropped back a bit, but still fairly high.
